It was around 5pm on a weekday, so I was the first one there. First up: Sapporo Yebisu, 480 yen, a great price for Yebisu. They also have large mugs (almost all regulars order this). I had a beer on the Tokaido line on my way back, so I ate inside this time (lol). Food This isn't yakitori on a skewer, but rather a grilled dish (on a plate). Cheese salami: Good, but junky. A great snack. Chorizo: Huge. Spicy and delicious. Three skewers, in fact. It might be the best chorizo I've had at an izakaya. Shallots are apparently good for your intestines (by Masaharu Fukuyama. I saw this on TV later, lol). Mixed Grill: Liver, Heart, Yagen, Thigh, etc. The quality was extremely high. There was no odor at all, and the meat was fresh, soft, and delicious. The salting was just right. After 6 PM, customers started trickling in one after the other. While I thought there would be a lot of male customers, there were also many pairs of women. There were also regulars. This appears to be a chain restaurant, but the value for money is excellent. The staff were energetic and friendly, and their service was top-notch.
